What is Group Training?

Group Training Organisations employ Apprentices and Trainees and place them with a host business for as long as you need them.  They take care of all the paperwork and administration involved in having an Apprentice or Trainee.

All normal required costs associated with taking on an employee such as wages, superannuation, annual leave, workers compensation etc., are applicable with hiring an Apprentice or Trainee. 

The difference for your business is that it is all rolled into the one set hourly rate, charged to your business via a weekly invoice by the Group Training Organisation.

 

What is the process of getting an Apprentice or Trainee through a Group Training Organisation?

1. Find a GTO that deals within your particular industry (see list below)

2. Call and tell them what type of Apprentice or Trainee you require for your business needs

3. The GTO will organise to come out and see you on site with the necessary information about the apprentice/trainee, rates and how it all works

4. The GTO will find the Apprentice/Trainee who best fits your requirements and will hire them as an employee

5. The Apprentice/Trainee starts work with you
